Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC)

As the primary support to the Information Assurance Manager for a major defense acquisition program category one [over 2 billion dollars], Taranet provides information assurance (IA) subject matter expertise for the Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) program. This task entails end-to-end coordination of all IA features into the developing system and managing the full scope of IA services after initial operational capability. Tasking encompasses initial IA planning, including development of RFP, IA Strategy, and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) Planning for a multi level security (MLS) (unclassified through SCI) cross domain solutions enabled MAC 1 CLASSIFIED system. IA features include private key infrastructure, wireless access, and computer network defense to be implemented across the DoD and Intelligence Community domains. Taranet is providing the subject matter expertise to forge a hybrid C&A process between the DoD and IC communities that has never been done before. As such, Taranet will be a key player in the development of standardized IA Control sets for a new federal wide C&A process.

Secureworks, Inc.

Taranet performed a gap analysis for a large defense contractor between existing security policies, procedures, controls and practices against specific regulatory and industry standards, as well as industry best practices. The gap between existing and required policies was so substantial that existing policies were destroyed and an entire set of corporate security policies were created to meet Federal Information Systems Management Act (FISMA) requirements.
